Yukon Solitaire: how a round works
Open Yukon Solitaire, check the instructions and begin a round. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Use the example below to understand a decision. Make your first input carefully and watch the result. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.
One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.
Practice with a purpose
When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round. Make the next step deliberately.
What the game asks you to do
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Keep the controls in easy reach.
Work through the instructions
- Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Making selections and moves
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use the control method described here for this activity. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.
Try this example
A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Consider the next action carefully.
Notice this detail
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
